Open-Loop Tension Control
An Open-Loop Payoff unit is a cost effective solution for feeding wire or other fine filaments into a smooth running process that is not sensitive to a gradual increase in tension as the payoff spool is used up. Open-Loop systems can be 100% non-electronic using magnetic brakes or they can be equipped with electronic brakes allowing for remote adjustment of the tension level. Benchtop and floor standing versions are available. They can also be coupled with a take-up unit to provide a complete respooling system.
