Simple Closed-Loop Payoffs
Simple Closed-Loop Payoffs are an excellent solution for feeding wire or other fine filaments into a process that starts and stops smoothly and pulls with relatively consistent speed. They can also be coupled with a take-up unit to provide a complete respooling system.
These payoffs are passive systems that maintain approximate constant tension using a smooth turning electronic brake. Several brake sizes are available for control from a few grams or ounces up to several kilograms or pounds. The brake output is continuously adjusted as the spool size changes based on feedback from a sensor located under or over the spool.
